[vlc-devel] input channel

Hi,

I'm just starting with VLC as a developer. So I apologize for all the wrong
terms that i'll be using.

I want to write my own input handler.

Let say that the user want to open a network stream. Instead of putting
rtsp:://.... he will put <prefix>://

i want to handle this by me in order to connect with my own server that as a
very simply streaming protocol.

Can somebody help me to understand where to put my hands? which is the right
way to do that? Which one is the easy one?
