My point exactly. It is no secret that contribs suck on Windows. In 
fact, they probably suck worse than on MacOS since Windows is more 
alien to the reference platform of many contribs.

Yeah, sorry. The contrib libraries are open-source. Therefore, many[1] 
of them are better maintained on Linux, and maybe *BSDs, by their 
upstream and by distributions. The VLC contribs cannot compete with a 
complete ecosystem.

That has nothing to do with your involvement or lack thereof. I have no 
intention to blame anyone for contribs, and I neither have any rights 
thereto. It's just a systemic issue with open-source libraries.
