Yes and no. This patch gets back to the semi-functional earlier state. But it 
still fails:
 - with multiple video outputs,
 - to check the type of drawable,
 - to return correct size informations.

There has already been complaints about the first issue at least.

I'm rewriting the whole thing into a proper window provider.
