Hi,

There appears to be an issue with the bridge-in placeholder
functionality on 1.0.0-rc3. While it works fine initially, after a few
minutes it eventually fails with either an 'assert failed' or a
segfault. I have tested on Ubuntu 8.04.2 LTS and 9.04, so it's not a
libc or pthreads version issue.

GDB backtrace from 8.04.2 is at http://vlc.pastebin.com/m28d0247b
Valgrind dump from 8.04.2 LTS is at http://vlc.pastebin.com/m1094fd5
Valgrind dump from 9.04 is at http://vlc.pastebin.com/mae81c11

VLM configuration for this issue is at http://tinyurl.com/kogbjg - it
requires two VLM instances (or there is a huge memory leak). The first
one should use testcard.cnf, the second with channel.cnf. Final stream
output will be on udp://@ 239.254.255.1:5000; channel input can be given
via TS/UDP on port 5001.

If you need any more info or testing, drop me a line or catch me on IRC
(gatty).

Cheers,

Andy.
