[vlc-devel] "Headphone virtual surround" effect bug?

Hello

I think there is a "bug" in the "headphone virtual surround" effect in VLC (also the latest versions, even the 1.0.0 rc4), but I didn't know where to post it, so i'll do it here... I have a Dutch version of VLC, so I'll try to translate correctly.

In preferences, the "simple" audio settings show headphone surround effect. The advanced settings show audio > filters > headphone virtual spatialization effect. I think those are the same.
The problem is now that I don't hear a difference when I check the effect in simple setting, only in advanced.
I think, if you check something in simple mode, it should automatically be checked in advanced mode, too... but this isn't the case.
In the latest release candidate, I never hear a difference in sound, simple or advanced mode, checked or unchecked... does this mean that the effect doesn't work any more? I hope this can be solved.

Thanks in advance!
