[vlc-devel] Question about audio E-AC-3 spx support on vlc-1.0.0(-rc4)

Hi,

It looks like vlc-1.0.0-rc4 does support eac3 spectral extension
attenuation (spx).
Official FFmpeg does not yet support it (if I am not wrong) and I can't
find a contrib patch for this support (based on FFmpeg Justin work I
think).

So I wonder to know:
- Is it a local patch on the buildbot server?
- Will upcoming vlc 1.0.0 support eac3 spx?
