Please *do not* make changes to the LIVE555 code in the VLC codebase. 
Instead, any proposed changes to the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" code 
should be discussed on the "live-devel at lists.live555.com" mailing 
list (see <http://lists.live555.com/mailman/listinfo/live-devel/> to 
subscribe), so that any changes will be reflected in future versions 
of the released LIVE555 code.  Otherwise, you risk breaking the VLC 
code whenever the LIVE555 code is updated.

(Ideally, I would like to see these "live*.patch" files go away.  In 
most cases there should be no need for them; instead, the released 
LIVE555 code should be appropriate, 'as is', for VLC and other 
applications.)
