Hello,
I submitted a patch proposal not long ago but did not get any feedback.
Can you have a look at it and give me some feedback ?
Thanks.
By the way, I forgot to give my feedback on the ease of getting the source
code of VLC and produce a patch :
The prerequisites were easy on Linux machine : installing git and
downloading the source code following the HOWTO on the VLC Wiki,
then installing with Synaptic the "dev" packages for the expected VLC
dependent libraries, all of this guided through the "configure" and "make"
instructions. The "temporary wrapper script" is just so convenient to
launch the just compiled VLC with all the appropriate environment !
So the "learning curve"/"barriers to entry" is very low for new developers
to come in and start contributing, nice work !
Regards,
metatech
