[vlc-devel] Prefer pulseaudio over alsa

Hi,

I've seen this good patch in master, and wondered why it didn't make it into 
1.0 branch:

Currently 1.0.3, which doesn't include this patch, includes a related bug: in 
many common configurations choosing ALSA uses pulseaudio anyway, through some 
compatibility mode, which is slower ("jumpy" sound) and buggier (sometimes the 
audio just stops). It's smart to prefer pulseaudio if it's available.
