What are you trying to do?

This would work for distributor-initiated theming. But I believe the icons
are _purposedly_ embedded to up the barrier against crappy
re-branded/trojan-bundled/adware-bundled/... VLC packages.

As for user-initiated desktop theming, this won't work as Ilkka already
outlined.
