The real problems I have with those:
* they generate dummy error messages when they fail to probe,
* they both tick, which is outrageous for power-management plugins,
even when VLC is inactive,
* the DBus Inhibit protocol is Broken By Design®.
Note that other than broken interface plugins (including *ahem* Qt4 *cough*
*cough*), VLC is now tickless when in stopped state.
