Is this one not too dangerous for stable branch? I mean if 1.0.3 might require
~500 MB of real free memory, that's a *huge* jump from 1.0.2 and might prevent
VLC from working in some setups. Yes, RAM is cheap today, but laptops with
<= 1 GB RAM are still in common use.
