Oh sure. If you merge this, I am going to assume that someone else is
taking over maintenance of the Win32 base support code from me. I admit I
do a poor job since I cannot test what I'm doing (Wine does not seem to run
VLC from build tree). But I have not seen any volunteer to do the work.
