[vlc-devel] On the road to 1.1: Feature Freeze

Hello developers, hello fellow VLC hackers,

As promised, we are on the road to "The Luggage", aka "1.1".


We are now in feature freze.

Please restrain from breaking the core, modifying the APIs or whatever
important that might break everything.

Try to avoid modifying modules too much too, and this policy will be
enforced more and more as the time goes to the release.

All feature requests for 1.1 have been moved to 1.2 on trac.

If unsure, ask someone, before applying to trunk.

Exceptions are possible, if they are fixing important bugs or if the
work-around would be so ugly that your eyes would exploded reading the
code.

Technical Preview 1 will be tagged next week end.
