It is usable, we'll have a test release in two weeks. So it could make it.

This is too risky just now, would increase package size, interface
look would need some refresh... You know my point.

I fear the end result is not really good, but it's working.

Could make it. The earlier we release, the better. If we are not ready
for 1.1 we'll be ready shortly afterwards. Before 1.2 if VLC release
cycle continue stay way.

By make it I mean, polished interface, and we are nearly on par with
gui/macosx features, that is:

The rest is available via (a working and easy to launch) command line
interface. (Feel free to add everything you would expect as a new
Issue.)

My decision, is that I'll do everything to ensure that we have a test
release before 1.1 (before the end of this months), and that we can
offer a first version at the time of 1.1.

This is a risky choice, but we have a working backup. There is no
dramatic issue in the old interface preventing for releasing.
