[vlc-devel] compiling on OSX does not build mp4a codec

Hi all,

I followed the instructions here:

Very simple process, thank you.

I am not finding the mp4a audio codec installed/built.  Do I need to do
something before these steps, like install libfaad on my own?  I assumed
that building in the vlc/extras/contrib directory would do this, but it does
not appear so.

Happy to provide any platform information if you want to know more details.
