[vlc-devel] compiling on OSX does not build mp4a codec

Rafaël,

Thank you.  When I run vlc I don't see mp4a listed in the audio codecs.
Should I?  How do I verify that libfaad is built properly?

xrdawson$ ./vlc --list | grep mp4a

There is no output.

Whereas this:

xrdawson$ ./vlc --list | grep 264
  packetizer_h264        H.264 video packetizer
  h264                   H264 video demuxer
  x264                   H.264/MPEG4 AVC encoder (x264)

So, I have the video codec I want, but I don't think the audio codec is
installed.
