I have to say I agree. At least video and audio, it should be relatively
easy, as long as we expect a fixed output format. For access and
access_demux, we might be able to create dedicated functions that create a
custom libvlc_media_t pointers.

smem is much more difficult. Generally speaking, there is basically no sane
way to control the streaming output from LibVLC (apart from VLM).
