Just a hint (since salsaman uses emacs):

- to fix the issue in the current file, type the following:

C-x h  (or M-x mark-whole-buffer)
M-x untabify

- to make sure not to worry about tabs again:

M-x customize-variable
Enter: indent-tabs-mode
Set the value to: nil
Click on Set for future sessions
