Sorry, but if I opened the bug, there must have been a reason.

However, you have a point, I shouldn't have answer like this. Please
accept my excuse.

It doesn't work on VLC 1.1.0 on Win32 XP and 7. It doesn't work on Mac
OS X.6.3. It doesn't work on my machine Linux, both 1.1 and master.

There must be an issue, and I would like it fixed, in the best way
possible.
