[vlc-devel] Issue with libVLC and pulse

Hello,

When using libVLC, or the phonon-VLC backend, the pulse control widgets
(like pavucontrol) say "VLC media player" on all the application, which
is kind of annoying.

One of the solution is to not set the name as we do it in the pulse
audio output. But then it should vlc-static when you play from VLC.
I was thinking about an option for deciding about enabling and disabling
it. Ideas? Remarks?
