Please revert this. This is a huge hack and we have been trying to cut on
the number of plugins hijacking file://. What you open MUST be a media
file. Otherwise, the security model is broken. Mind you that's why VLC
cannot open say LUA files nor shebang shell scripts, even though it would
be trivial to implement.
