The legacy Mac OS X interface is no longer enabled by default. You can do so by adding --enable-macosx to your configure line. However, this will lead to compilation errors in the preferences files of this interface module, which will need to be worked out. The Mac OS X video output module is fully functional though as demonstrated by Lunettes and other users of VLCKit.
