[vlc-devel] [PATCH] Libnotify requires gtk, but leaves the choice between gtk2 and gtk3 to the calling apps

As only one version of gtk can be linked into an app, and libnotify
supports both of them, the .pc files does not suggest any version. For
most apps this is not an issue, as libnotify is only an 'addition' for
them anyway and they are mostly built around gtk+ in this case anyway,
but there are some exceptions, just like VLC, which uses libnotify, but
not really any other GTK+ features.

In these corner cases, the application needs to decide wether to use
GTK2 or GTK3 to link.

The attached patch introduces this dependency, suggesting to link GTK2
at this moment (gtk3 is not fully released yet, it's due together with
gnome 3.0 in April).
