[vlc-devel] What contrib to use?

Hi,

Is there a way to tell which contrib package was used to build VLC? I get my
contrib file from http://people.videolan.org/~jb/Contribs/ but I always
wonder which is the one to use. Of courese I acan always ask here, but would
rather not polute this mailing list if there is a way for me to find out for
myself in the future. I am presently trying to build 1.1.11 and would like
to use the same contribs as is used by Videolan when building it.

It would be great to see this in the readme or the about box or some other
place in the pre-built VLC.
