[vlc-devel] [PATCH] [RFC] Phosphate/IVTC2x deinterlacer

Hi all,

Since there have been no comments on Phosphate/IVTC2x, and the
traditional IVTC filter already works better than this one, I'm shelving
this idea for now.

If anyone needs the statistical density estimator for any purpose, go
ahead and grab it from the patch. It's hereby provided for the
convenience of anyone who happens to need a C implementation of the
optimal kernel bandwidth selector of Sheather & Jones 1991. (No
warranty, as usual.)

I will, though, probably include a 2x output mode in the traditional
IVTC filter, for the reasons detailed in the other post.
