I tried inserting the "²" symbol as-is into the source files, and it
seems to work.

This has got to be the typographically most exotic name for an upgraded
feature in a while. But well, at least we can say in NEWS that it has
twice the X compared to the classic version.

I'll reformat the patch and repost.
