[vlc-devel] possible bug in vlc 1.1.9 full screen with tiling window manager

I'm also experiencing a similiar issue, although I'm not using a tiling WM.

I am running archlinux with kernel 2.6.38 and xorg server 1.10 with 
xf86-video-ati open source driver. WM is fluxbox (no compositing).

I see no fullscreen controls at all. (BTW, I've tried editing the pos 
parameter in the .config/vlc/vlc-qt-interface.conf, no joy)

As an additional bit of info, I've also run vlc 1.1.9 in ubuntu 11.04 
and fullscreen controls are working there. This is also kernel 2.6.38, 
'aptiptude show xorg' indicates: Version: 1:7.6+4ubuntu3. I don't know 
exactly what that means, but I'm pretty sure it's not 1.10.

I'm having other xorg 1.10 issues, maybe that version at the root of the 
fullsceen controls problem too.

I can't find any trac reports on missing fullscreen controls newer than 
2009.

Should a new ticket be filed?
