What are the version numbers in the About dialog? It should have the form
1.1.0-pre1-NNNN-gHHHHHHH? I don't know if there is any way to determine what 
component changed in the contrib. However, it might be possible to find which 
plugin is at fault, probably either the TS demux, or the avcodec codec, if you 
try to mix plugins from one version and the other.
