Maybe so.
But on my mac, I build git version of libdvbpsi and install to
extras/contrib like
./configure --build=x86_64-apple-darwin10
--prefix=/Users/nkoriyama/source/vlc/extras/contrib/hosts/x86_64-apple-darwin10

and no problem.
