That would be because there's no AOUT_VAR_3F or AOUT_VAR_2_1, most aout
don't support those either.


IMHO, the AOUT_VAR_* stuff is a bad idea in LibVLC.

libvlc_audio_output_device_types_t for libvlc, and AOUT_VAR_* internally.

What do you suggest ?


btw, i tested it on android with an 5.1 ac3 track, unfortunately with both
decoder and aout in 16bit, it doesn't find any mixer (they all work on
32bit), so no audio.
