[vlc-devel] If VLC sees a multichannel output device, will it play discrete multichannel out that device?

I don't have the hardware here to test this out right away, when I do I will be testing on Mac.

Any tricks involved?

If it doesn't work, could someone point out where one would fix that, and the magnitude of the problem one would have to fix to make it so?
