[Feel free to forward.]
Hello,
In case you did not notice, FOSDEM has issued the call for devroom requests
for its upcoming 2012 edition:
http://www.fosdem.org/2012/call_for_devrooms
I don't think VLC, nor the whole VideoLAN would have enough content to get
one. And indeed, FOSDEM claims a "preference for requests with a more
encompassing topic, e.g. from projects with similar goals/domains". That said,
I don't find agglutination around a small table in the cafeteria that great.
And meeting developers from our friend projects (libav, PulseAudo, Phonon,
etc.) outside in the Belgian winter is no good either.
So I hope there would be an "encompassing" devroom, e.g. FLOSS multimedia or
FLOSS audio/video. It is not very clear what the requirements are. I guess
mostly filling the schedule with 6-7 hours of talks.
N.B.: the deadline for submission is October 27th.
Opinions?
