[vlc-devel] Do I need portaudio for VLC?

Thank you for your help.

I guess I am trying to understand what is the purpose of using portaudio in vlc. My audio using ALSA and/or pulseaudio is working just fine without even portaudio.

There won't be portaudio audio output module.
