[vlc-devel] [vlc-commits] contrib: add support for openssl to check the sha512 hashes

I think this was a good idea.  I just want to make sure that when we test
for Open SSL that the -sha512sum feature is available before first use.

Sorry for not explaining that clearer in my previous comments.

The snippet that I provided yesterday should try to run `openssl dgst
-sha512sum` with an empty string...if it fails an exit code is generated
and the main.mak script will not assign $(sha512sum) to 'openssl dgst
-sha512sum'.
