[vlc-devel] can vlc-1.2.0 add feature of cutting video

VLC can transcode video from one format to another different format and has the function to transcode partially using -start-time and -stop-time options.  If the video format  of source is the same as destination, VLC can't cut the video without reencoding partially with the same options(-start-time , -stop-time).  Does new version vlc-1.2.0 has the plan to support such cutting function?
