Felix, what do you think about that?
I would suggest to disable the "save-volume-on-exit" feature for now to be consistent with the current simple prefs dialog. For future versions of vlc, a user choice could be implemented if the current volume should be saved on exit (as its done in qt interface).
I also want to ping for the patch regarding fullscreen and the one in this thread which I sent some days ago.
The latter can also be applied regardless of the above discussion, as it implements some use for the variable i_lastShownVolume. (Before it was a "-1" constant only).
