[vlc-devel] Buffer progress messages...

Hi All,

Does VLC send out some sort of messages regarding buffer status for streaming video? What I mean is buffer status relative to length of the video? That way the progress can be shown of buffering relative to the streaming video being played. Other streaming video players have that capability and not sure I have seen it for vlc. That would help with users wanting to determine what setting to use for the amount of video the want to pre-buffer before starting to view it and may help with some jitters for HD if buffered well enough.
