[vlc-devel] DELETE PLAYLIST

I seem to have mistakenly loaded loads of files from my hard disk into playlist.
  I need to delete them all & start again. HOW DO I DO THIS , PLEASE ??
      I am a simpleton in these things , so please be very clear & assume zero competence.
I have been unable to find how to delete things either via "HELP" or the Internet -- am I blind ?
 PS tried sending this to vlc at REMOVETHIS.... it wouldn't send ! "no matches found"  i'm stuffed !
