Cool... feel free to rewrite it to use the avr api.
If this wasn't clear from my other mail: if nobody wants to review
this, I wont spend more time on it. Esp. since I can use swr right now,
while avr is not yet widely available (*), and when using ffmpeg, swr
should be preferred if I understood correctly.

(*) I havent seen it in libav's 0.8 branch, while swr has been for a
while in the (almost) api-equivalent ffmpeg branch.
