[vlc-devel] VLC custom build - how to disable rewind?

Thank you, That is a good suggestion.

The trick will work in general. However, occasionally, a field engineer has to go and make some changes in the settings. Is there any  standard technique that others are using to ensure that hot keys are available only to the field engineer but not for general public use?.

If VLC is being used like a kiosk desk, then maybe simply disable hotkeys and start VLC and run it in fullscreen (both of which can be done from the command line).
