[vlc-devel] Minilyrics for Linux

Hello,

I am new here. I don't whether this is right place to ask this question if
so please redirect me to the right place. I have been in search for a vlc
plugin similar to minilyrics <http://www.crintsoft.com/vlc-lyrics.htm> for
Linux (specifically ubuntu) from a long time but haven't found a suitable
replacement. So, I decided to write my own plugin. Can anybody help me
where do I start with? Can I write plugins using python?
