[vlc-devel] Support for receiving/playing "video/VP8" and "audio/VORBIS" RTP streams?

I know that VLC can play VP8 video and VORBIS audio OK, because (in version 2.0.8 at least) it can play ".webm" Matroska files (which contain these codecs) just fine.

Also, the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" code (which VLC uses for RTSP/RTP reception) has supported the VP8 video and VORBIS audio RTP payload formats for more than a year.

But unfortunately VLC (v2.0.8) currently can't play "video/VP8" or "audio/VORBIS" RTP streams, because there's currently no code in VLC's "live555" interface module that recognizes these payload formats. However, adding support for this should be straightforward. So please add this to the 'to do' list for future versions. Thanks.
