[vlc-devel] VLC rasp-bian

[Maxim Bublis]

As far as i see, raspbian repo contains vlc packages:
http://archive.raspbian.org/raspbian/pool/main/v/vlc/

Try to fix your distrib or even ask question in raspbian mailing list.
No need to build vlc from sources.
