I am talking Windows. And I think you have a big fan community using VLC 
on windows. Some of them with smaller screen resolutions. If these users 
open a full-hd format, the toolbars are far off screen and they need to 
hasstle to get it back.

How would the window manager do that? If the vout tells qt to present an 
embedded video with 1920x1080 qt resizes the video widget to that size 
no matter what your screen resolution is... I would like to see that on 
a windows machine.

As far as i heard, a similar solution for macs is already in the source 
tree. I was convinced to add the moving by jb a few days ago, imho 
moving is not neccessary but nevertheless...

Besides, there is a very old and still not fixed ticket #3715 about that.
