[vlc-devel] VLC detect stalling (buffer empty) for HTTP video streaming

Hi,

I am searching for a nice way to extend VLC for HTTP streaming (progressive
download; h264), so that VLC logs all occuring stalling events (next frame
is not ready, because the it has not yet arrived at the machine).

In the beginning it is sufficient for me to count the events and log the
length.

Any suggestions where to take a look?
