I see most of these are now submitted; thanks! However, the last patch was
seemingly not applied, and instead I see a patch series adding partial
support for deinterlacing some packed formats.

Unfortunately, this means that I can still not achieve my stated end goal,
which is capturing 1080i, deinterlacing it with yadif2x, scaling it to 720p
and transcoding it, since yadif2x is not on the list of deinterlacers
supporting packed formats. In fact, none of the more advanced ones (yadif,
yadif2x, x, phosphor, ivtc) are.
