[vlc-devel] Frame freezes but the audio keeps going...

Folks,

Environment: Ubuntu 12.04. nVidia card.

I have a local build of VLC 2.04. This build is running on a number of identical machines.

Occasionally, while playing a movie, we see that the video frame freezes but the audio keeps going.

VLC responds to "pause" command but the video still remains frozen after unpausing it.

I have connected to one such VLC instance using gdb. However, I am not sure where to look for this problem. I would appreciate it if someone can provide me some pointers.
