Youtube post-computes it after upload (I guess it begins with an
half-interval search for few frames as the same process creates
thumbnails which are required asap).

Having thumbnails or barcode shouldn't be a problem if it could be
embedded into the file. (everything is built at transcode time, and then
shared with the file).

We also already fetch art and metadata from remote servers. Being able
to share timelines/thumnails strips with a mb like server would be nice.
