The commit 84dc949e138f6231ba0c58572b7949ca4e5724a8 seems to imply the
opposite... Are you really sure that you have 10.6 versions of the standard
headers and import libraries and that they are actually selected during
configuration, compilation and linking?

Otherwise, it should come to as no surprise that binary compatibility with
10.6 is broken.
